Solubility. Soluble in sterile laboratory-grade deionized water (≥ 10 mg/mL), sterile Phosphate-Buffered Saline (PBS, pH 7.4, ≥ 5 mg/mL), or dilute aqueous buffers for in vitro assay application.
- Solution Stability & Handling: The N-terminal pyroglutamate residue provides stability against standard aminopeptidase degradation; avoid excessive aeration, high-shear vortexing, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles once dissolved in aqueous buffers.

Structural Engineering Focus: Synthetic 11-amino acid linear peptide designed from the aqueous-exposed face of erythropoietin (EPO) Helix B. Engineered specifically to selectively engage the heteromeric Innate Repair Receptor (IRR)—a complex formed by the Erythropoietin Receptor subunit and the common β receptor (EPOR/CD131 heterodimer).
Cellular Pathways Investigated: Does not bind to the classical (EPOR)2 homodimer and exhibits zero erythropoietic activity in cell culture assays. Studied in neuronal, Schwann cell, and macrophage cell lines (e.g., RAW 264.7) to analyze downstream inhibition of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) nuclear translocation and phosphorylation of cytoprotective Akt/GSK-3β signaling cascades.
