The lot check, step by step
Before using a material, confirm that the lot number printed on the vial matches the lot number on the Certificate of Analysis. They must be identical — a COA for a different lot is not a valid characterization of the vial in front of you.
- Read the lot number on the vial label.
- Open the COA and confirm the lot numbers match.
- Check identity, purity, and content figures on the COA.
- Archive the certificate against your lab inventory record.
Verifying by QR
Scan the QR code on the certificate or vial to retrieve the batch record. Confirm that the record returned matches the lot on the physical label. This closes the loop between physical material and digital documentation.
When something does not match
If the lot does not match, the label is damaged, or the QR returns the wrong record, do not proceed with the material. Contact KAM Research with the lot number in hand; a batch inquiry resolves the discrepancy before it reaches your assay.
- Damaged or illegible label.
